one reason my life will never result in widely read obituaries is that I can spend hours trying to figure out a clue for a four letter word for "Trix alternative."
seemed likely to me that LIFE, CHEX, POST or even BRAN or OATS had to fit; but nooooo - the winner was "ENNE" (feminine word ending). aaaaaggghh!
I do realize I need a job or a life or something.

I am just not smart enough to do crossword puzzles...unless they come home from school with the kids. Then I have a chance!
I don't know about cereal, but this anagram is a keeper, a a rust keeper.
I have recently graduated to an actual Wil Shortz collection - granted, the difficulty levels range from "not so hard" to "just right for idiots", so I'm in my comfort zone ....

Ah, I totally went the cereal route too. Too much of a sweet-tooth, not enough dominatrix in my personality, I think!
perhaps it's not a job (overrated) or a life (you've got one) that you need, but simply a better crossword dictionary!
